While many of us dream about what we would do if given an opportunity to accomplish something big, most of our lives consist of “little things.” The events of today are very similar to the events of yesterday and, typically, quite mundane. So, given that assumption, the question is whether my actions today make a difference in the end, either in my life or that of an organization.
The writer Luke tells us “If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones” (Luke 16:10 NLT). In this sense, being faithful means being careful and diligent in handling the affairs of life with integrity and consistency. Some areas in which we can demonstrate faithfulness in little things involve relationships, time management, transactions, and finances.
The Francis Asbury Society endeavors to be a ministry that is faithful in little things. Then, faithfulness in the larger aspects of ministry naturally follow. Your prayer and financial support—even little contributions—enable FAS to make a significant, transformational difference in persons’ lives by proclaiming the Scriptural message that we can be “wholly devoted to God.”
