“Coming up to them at that very moment, she gave thanks to God and spoke about the child to all who were looking forward to the redemption of Jerusalem” (Luke 2:38).
Lord, as we await your arrival, may we be like your servant, Anna, waiting in prayer and fasting with great anticipation for the coming of the Messiah. And when that long-awaited promise is made sight, might we go giving thanks and speaking of him to all we see. We live in a world in dire need of redemption. You have opened redemption’s door, Father, through your son, Jesus Christ. So, as we wait, prepare our hearts yet again for your arrival and fill us with boldness to declare that he has arrived! Our Savior has been born!
