Student Ministries
The Francis Asbury Society is devoted to discipling the next generation of young adults on university, seminary, and church campuses through dynamic covenant relationships.
Young people from across our country and around the world continue to make their way to the small town of Wilmore, Kentucky, for a unique experience in higher education. Asbury Theological Seminary and Asbury University are institutions birthed out of the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition and have prepared tens of thousands of students for lifelong learning, leadership, and service to the glory of God and the salvation of the world.
The Francis Asbury Society is devoted to discipling this generation of young adults on these campuses during these formative years in dynamic covenant relationships which will encourage them to experience the reality of a holy heart, embrace the joy of belonging to an authentic Christian community, and express a passionate witness of the transforming grace of Jesus Christ to people across our streets and around the world. Our ultimate desire is to be a “paraclete” ministry, to stand alongside of the Asbury campuses and area churches, as partners assisting in the spiritual growth of students during their tenure in our community.
Mentoring
You were never meant to do life on your own. We believe God has called each of us to walk with another, especially someone younger. We offer one-on-one mentoring in keeping with this calling. Contact us to set up an initial mentor session to see if we are a good fit.
Prayer
Prayer is at the core of all we do. Apart from God, we can do nothing. We have both in-person and online meetings.
In-person:
Fridays at 8:30 a.m. ET
Francis Asbury Society Ministry Center
1580 Lexington Rd
Wilmore, KY 40390
Online:
The Francis Asbury Society hosts a weekly Zoom prayer meeting every Monday morning at 11:32 a.m.
Bible Study
Each semester, the Hallahans open their home to students and offer a variety of Bible studies and small groups. Come and learn, be encouraged in your faith, and enjoy fellowship with other believers.
The Student Ministries small groups meet every week. Contact us to join our mailing list and find a time that fits your schedule.
