Discipleship: Our Sacred Mission

We at FAS are excited to see life-transforming discipleship efforts among young people hoping to raise another generation to be witnesses as they live for Christ in today’s challenging culture. Undoubtedly, they build their faith on the reality that God loves us and shares Himself with us. God’s love is so pure—so healing, saving, and sanctifying—that it transforms us and thoroughly converts our souls when we surrender to Him. But it is still so much more! God’s love frees us from anchoring our lives to selfish ambition and instead enables us to live for the praise of His glory. When we do, we become preoccupied with the redemption of the world.

I am overjoyed to introduce you to the Shane Chellis and the Josh and Kelly Hallahan families. Shane writes to introduce you to ministry opportunities through discipling young people in the greater Indianapolis area. You are invited to become members of his team! Shane is one of our Society’s members, and we stand strongly with him. I know you will enjoy this introduction to his ministry.

The Hallahans are seeking to raise faith-promise support to direct campus discipleship ministries here in Wilmore, working through our FAS Ministry Center. They plan to move to Wilmore in July and are about 60% funded. We are prayerful that people like you and your churches will support them in their mission as they minister with FAS. Would you thoughtfully and prayerfully consider joining their support team?

Enjoy reading ways you can help us carry out our sacred mission for discipleship here and around the world. Please prayerfully consider taking the next step forward by participating with us. May our Lord make His face to shine upon you!
