In the next to the last book of the Bible, Jesus’ brother, Jude, describes in twenty-five verses how believers can stand firm for the “faith once for all delivered to the saints.” Confronting the pervasive apostasy and blatant heretical teaching within the fellowship of Christ, Jude exhorts all true disciples of Jesus to persevere by embracing the holy faith and sanctifying power of the triune God who is able to “keep us from falling.” At this year’s Hemlock Inn Retreats, Dr. Andy Miller III will make us aware of the imminent, corrosive dangers of false teachings and encourage us to fight the good fight within our faith communities.
This summer, Dr. Andy Miller III and his wife Abby moved from leading the work of The Salvation Army in Tampa, Florida, to serving as vice president for Academic Affairs at Wesley Biblical Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi. His primary areas of interest include Salvation Army history and theology, holiness, and homiletics. Dr. Miller also serves on the Board of Directors of the Francis Asbury Society and is a consultant to the Southern Methodist University Perkins School of Theology Center for Preaching Excellence. He hosts a podcast called “More to the Story,” which shares weekly content from an orthodox Wesleyan perspective.
The Millers have three children: Andy IV, Titus Wesley, and Georgia.
