Our Vision for Ministry
The Francis Asbury Society is driven by a compelling vision that people can be wholly devoted to God.
Our Vision
God calls ordinary people to become devoted followers of Jesus Christ, transformed by the gracious gift and abiding presence of his Holy Spirit, permeating every part of their lives, individually and corporately.
Our Mission
The Francis Asbury Society will proclaim the message of scriptural love to God and one another as the primary key to a happy and holy life in accordance with the Great Commission. We are dedicated to spreading the joyful message that all people can be transformed to love God and neighbor with pure hearts, through the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit.
Our Values
As Jesus called his disciples, He calls us to be salt of the earth. Through His grace within us, we are to be the counterforce to the corruption that is perpetually at work in our fallen world. We are dedicated to the inerrancy of the Old and the New Testament Scriptures and the power of the Spirit of God, through Christ, to regenerate and sanctify the human heart wholly.
Hear the story of how the Francis Asbury Society came to be
The Francis Asbury Society was started in 1983 by Dr. Dennis F. Kinlaw and Harold Burgess of Wilmore, Kentucky. But our roots run deeper — all the way back to the late 1700s and early 1800s.
