Daniel and Renita Koehn
FAS Evangelistic Artists
Daniel and Renita Koehn are Christian artists in music and drama. In a blended style, the music ministry of Daniel and Renita centers around the greatness of our God, his completed work accomplished for us through his Son, Jesus Christ, and the abiding and enabling presence of the Holy Spirit. Daniel also serves as the pastor of Cornerstone Church of the Nazarene in Frankfort, KY.
Daniel presents varying portions of John’s Gospel—A Dramatic Storytelling. In this one-man show, the words of scripture from the NIV version are brought to life, compelling to audiences of all ages.
The Koehns offer programs of music or dramatic scripture presentation or a combination of both. These programs can vary in length (from five minutes to an hour plus) to suit the needs of the service. Full musical concerts and worship leading for revivals, conferences, retreats, etc. are also available. Daniel and Renita are also available to speak or teach. The entire John’s Gospel presentation could fit into a series of two, three, or five meetings.
The newest offering from the Koehns is the Public Reading of Scripture Workshop, especially designed for churches that present liturgical readings each week in worship. Daniel and Renita will come to your church for a half-day or full-day workshop to equip your team of scripture-readers with skills and tools that will more fully engage both the readers and your congregation during the public reading of the Word.
Daniel and Renita both have their Doctor of Musical Arts degrees in Vocal Performance from the University of Kentucky. Daniel also has a Master of Arts degree in Biblical Literature from Wesley Biblical Seminary. Daniel sang opera professionally for four years and has been a college voice instructor for many years, teaching in California, Tennessee, and Kentucky. Renita has enjoyed a long career as a college voice teacher in California, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Kentucky. She also has sung professionally as a soloist in many choral masterworks.
The Koehns have been married since 1997 and currently reside in Wilmore, KY. In addition to teaching voice, Daniel is serving as interim pastor at True Hope Church, an Evangelical Methodist congregation in Lexington.
