DESCRIPTION:As we walk with Jesus and seek to look more like Him\, we know that involves surrender so He can come in His fullness and take up residence in us. We will never surrender to someone we do not fully know or trust. This semester we are invited to the heart of God where we will experience His love and kindness as we look at the stories of others who were able to say “yes” to Him. And hopefully\, we will find that the same God who walked with Adam and Eve in the garden and who provided for Abraham is our God\, and we can learn to trust Him. In the Spring Semester\, we will focus especially on the stories in the Old Testament.

SUMMARY:Titus Women Bible Study - Stories of Faith
DESCRIPTION:For this fall we will look at testimony messages spoken in the Old Testament. These testimonies continually pointed people to God\, telling of his love and faithfulness\, praising his character and his provision\, and reminding them of God’s sovereign authority over all of creation. We will look at who is speaking\, who they are speaking to\, and the response of those that were listening. As we reflect on what is being shared\, we can learn better how to share our own stories of faith. We serve a compassionate\, faithful\, and loving God that reveals himself throughout the pages of Scripture. God wants us to share about his character. He wants us to tell others how he has been faithful. He wants us to always remember who he is and what he has done. When these heroes of the faith speak\, we can observe\, listen\, learn\, and imitate what they have said and done and leave a legacy of our own—a legacy of declaring our allegiance to follow Jesus 100% and to tell everyone we know about him. \nLet’s have the passion and excitement of the woman at the well after her encounter with Jesus. “So the woman left her water jar and went away into town and said to the people\, “Come\, see a man who told me all that I ever did. SUMMARY:7 Deadly Sins vs 7 Cardinal Virtues
DESCRIPTION:This Bible study was led by several different speakers and produced by the Francis Asbury Society in 2023. \nSUMMARY: In contrasting each of the seven deadly sins with their opposite virtues\, we can gain insight and mature in holiness (see Colossians 3:5–17). Cultivating the cardinal virtues is not the solution for sin—only the atoning work of Christ does that—but it can lead to a healthy\, holy life. Oswalt\, an American scholar and distinguished professor of Old Testament at Asbury Theological Seminary. \nSUMMARY: The northern kingdom of Israel was facing destruction. Under the inexorable pressure of the empire of Assyria\, one king after another was being bloodily replaced. The sins of the nation seemed to be multiplying. Defeat and exile were looming. What would God say to a people like that? He cannot ignore their sins and the consequences of those sins\, but he also wants to tell them that while his love will not prevent those consequences neither will it be deterred by them. What that means is that there is hope beyond the destruction. If\, in the midst of judgment\, they will turn back to him\, judgment need not be the end.
